When Steven began coming to Autism Avenue it literally gave him hope and such joy! The two friends that he had that would come and get him and take him to do things were in college and just not really available anymore. He was extremely lonely. A man at church whose grandson had been coming told us about Autism Avenue. I met with Andi and told her about Steven. I felt accepted and I felt she cared.
Steven looks forward to his time there every week. He never wants to miss it. He leaves smiling, happy, and confident . He has grown in his social skills, work skills and life skills. Autism Avenue is a very important part of Steven’s life.
It came at a crucial time in his life and we are extremely grateful for the program, Audrey and Andi!
